Marina Maslovaric MD was born and raised in Croatia. She immigrated to the US with her family at the age of sixteen. She grew up playing piano, and was pursuing a career in classical music. While auditioning for music colleges she realized she was not quite ready to give up her strong interest in the field of science. She attended UC Irvine where she received a B.S. in Neuroscience. Dr. Maslovaric was awarded numerous merit based scholarships while at UC Irvine where she graduated with honors – Cum Laude.
After UC Irvine, she attended medical school at the University of Southern California – KECK SCHOOL OF MEDICINE. She completed internship and residency at Kaiser Permanente Los Angeles.
Dr. Maslovaric says: “Dedicating my life to medicine came naturally. My family has a strong tradition of contributing to society and helping others. My grandfather, father, and brother all served in the military. My other grandfather was a farmer but served as a medic during World War II. My mother and one aunt are both caregivers and another aunt is a physician in Croatia.”
Dr. Maslovaric strongly believes in patient education, actively involving her patients in their medical decision making, and allowing ample time for her patients to discuss all their concerns. During college and medical school through volunteering and employment Dr. Maslovaric was involved in many tutoring and teaching positions. During residency, she was honored for her passion for education by receiving the Distinguished Resident Teaching Award.
Dr.Maslovaric is fully dedicated to women’s health. She firmly believes in empowering her patients to make informed decisions that align with their personal beliefs. She offers her patients enthusiasm, knowledge, experience, energy and passion for healing.
Dr. Maslovaric is married and lives in Irvine, California. She enjoys hiking, being in nature, travelling, and spending time with family and friends. She is fluent in Croatian and semi-fluent in medical Spanish.
